NRW Design 4130 Billet Chromoly Vanos Covers (Tool Rental Option) - BMW E9x M3
NRW Design latest release is the 4130 Chromoly bolt through Vanos covers. NRW Design had been asked many times for our solution to the deteriorating plastic OEM Vanos caps and our response was always there was enough on the market to provide the solution. But over time we have watched multiple manufactures have catastrophic failure with their clip in Vanos cover design. NRW Design recently had a customer car come in with a complete failure of their OEM plastic Vanos covers. Sending the Vanos spring through the valve cover and destroying the engine. NRW Design went to work to design our latest product, the bolt on 4130 Chromoly Vanos covers. Our Vanos covers are a single piece design made from 4130 Chromoly steel. These covers are the lightest bolt through Vanos covers on the current market which is a benefit to rotational mass. Using 4130 Chromoly steel is the perfect choice in metal selection due to its high strength. NRW Design Vanos covers use the OEM cam bolts and would follow the BMW procedure for install. We feel we have the best permanent stress free solution for the aging plastic OEM Vanos covers. The latest version of these Vanos covers are machined from billet 4130 chromoly steel.
Tool rental:
NRW Design now makes it easier than ever for the installation process by offering the Vanos tool rental program. While purchasing the Vanos covers, select the Vanos covers with tool rental option. Your Vanos covers will ship with the tool set included. If the tool set is not in stock your covers will wait till the tool sets are returned and back in stock. How this works. You will receive a full set of tools just like in the picture. It will be your responsibility to alert us immediately if something is missing. But the toolbox will be inspected before it leaves our shop. You will have 7 days from the time you receive it to have it returning back to us. The job usually takes 3-5 hours to complete. You will have to provide shipping via email with the return tracking. Shipping back to NRW Design will be at the expense of the customer. It will also be the customer’s responsibility to ensure that the package is delivered safely and complete as it was sent out from NRW Design. Failure to this will result in a forfeit of your deposit. We highly suggest you insure the package in case of loss or damage to the tool set.
NRW Design will not provide technical assistance for install. We have posted a step by step how to on our instagram page under the links in the bio section. You can also find a well written how to on M3Post under the DIY section written by 6spdm3. Please review this before opting to do this job yourself. Make sure you have the proper tools for install as well.
Once the toolbox is delivered back to NRW design we will inspect for damage or lost parts. If parts are damaged or lost this will result in the forfeit of the deposit. Once we inspect and find everything is returned correctly, we will then issue a refund for the deposit amount back to the method of payment. This could take up to a week due to processing payment.
tool rental is priced accordingly:
$99 USD for tool rental - 7 day rental. This includes holidays and weekends.
$200 deposit.
CUSTOMER MUST ship tools back to NRW Design by UPS or FedEx. Your choice but MUST have tracking and we August you also insure for lost or damaged tools.
